She began riding and showing horses competitively as a child, which sparked her curiosity of animal behavior and led to an Associates Degree in Zoo Animal Technology from Santa Fe College in Gainesville. Her professional training career started with one of the most respected animal training and behavioral science companies in the field, Natural Encounters Inc. (NEI). While at NEI Courtney's specialty became understanding and communicating with birds. Over ten years she trained and showcased several species of birds for free flight bird shows in front of large audiences at professional zoological facilities nationwide. In 2013, with schooling and a successful career in animal behavior under her belt, Courtney opened her own training company, Pro Pet Train, Inc., which specializes in dogs, birds and horses. Her dedication to helping animals in need has become her life’s purpose and in 2019 paved the way to the founding of Behavior Saves, Inc.
